EP2000 PRIME OIL
EP2000 EMULSION is used to prime newly compacted gravel road surfaces with liquid asphalt for the purpose of protecting the surface from weather and traffic damage while waiting for the paving crew to show up. It has water and light ends in it to provide sprayability and ground penetration. It finishes to a hard surface and leaves only the hard asphalt on the surface.
Application of Prime oil is done in two stages. First the ground is pre-watered to help the emulsified oil (oil and water mixture) penetrate the gravel. After it is sprayed, the water portion quickly separates and evaporates leaving the hard asphalt embedded into the surface. EP2000 can also be used as an effective dust control agent and creating a pavement like finish on driveways. For best results, keep traffic off for 24 hours.
